A4CEF End of Year Update

Since the beginning of the project, several activities have progressed and are at an advance stage. In terms of training, more than 1000 training hours have been provided to SMEs and other stakeholders at national and European levels. The training covered introduction to regulations such as the Cybersecurity act and the EU Cybersecurity Certification framework, EU Schemes such as the EU Cloud Services (EUCS) scheme and different standards in relation to conformity assessment and product evaluations.

From a cross border exchange perspective, we met in Dublin to perform a gap analysis to identify what requirements must be met by a Certification Body (CB) to act as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) in the context of EU cybersecurity certifications. These requirements will feed into the procedures and processes to prepare as part of accreditation and authorization activities. These processes and procedures provide input to develop modules for activities and stakeholders involved in the EU Cybersecurity Framework.

With regards to EUCS pilot certification, 5 SMEs have been selected in Ireland and Cyprus. The pilot certifications have started and the progress of the activities has been disseminated throughout the year at webinars and conferences. The latest update was provided at IT SA Security Forum in the end of October. You can find the recording of the presentation here

There will be further updates on the progress of the activities involved as part of the A4CEF project. Hoping to see you around and wishing you a wonderful end of the year.
